So I wiggled it and it was loose. So I put the car on stands and filled the gap between the flex sleeve and pipe with muffler sealer. I then wrapped tiger tape around that and put two clamps around that. Should melt together and seal the gap.
I just bought a 2003 Golf TDI. Thinking that the smell coming into the cabin someone suggested I look at the exhaust flex joint.
There is no clamp on it!
The original owner I bought mine from has always used Marvel Mystery additive on one tank and on the next Lucas Upper Cylinder lubricant in the fuel tank. 375,000 miles. Anyone used these?
