I never figured it out and the vehicle was sold in that condition. Pretty sure what caused the problem was driving hard one day and missed the 5th > 4th downshift and grinded into 4th. Never worked the same since then.
I did try the Pennzoil Synchromesh which worked well but it didn't help the...
I am selling this set of four Fratelli Bosio DLC 520 injector nozzles and am including the four injectors. The nozzles were only used for a few hundred miles before they were removed from the car.
I removed them from the car because a couple of the injector bodies are warped enough that the...

Yahooooooo! This biodiesel (B20) pump in Monterey CA has reopened. The pump has a couple of new stickers; one says it's a B5 to B20 blend and the other says it's made by Agron which is a local producer in Watsonville.
Not positive, but this seems like it might be a different product than what...
I am reviving this ancient thread due to this biodiesel pump (B20) in Monterey CA being red tagged (closed down) by the state of CA... The real problem is that the next closest Bio pump is about an hour away. As a long time user of B20 / B30 blends, I would really hate to see this pump dry up...
I had some extremely elusive front end noises even though everything had been refreshed. The noises were mostly under significant braking while turning if I remember correctly.
The issue ended up being the four bolts that secure the rack and pinion. Those bolts needed to be re-torqued. The...

Can't tell you if the dealer ever checked the timing as that's who was working on the car via the extended warranty.
This posting was for a friend of mine and he bought a 2015 Mustang GT that has something like 435HP. If it was me, I probably would have bought a BMW 335d which...
None of the attempted repairs corrected the no start problem. It also started to misfire a bit recently for short periods after start-up which was new.
Needed to have a reliable car so this was used as a trade-in yesterday and got a new vehicle. Thanks to everyone who gave input. Really loved...
Parts Manager told me the S at the end of the part number denotes if it's for an earlier or later produced model. They had a fuel return line in stock and brought it up from the back so I could see that the Pressure Retention Valve is included as part of the Fuel Return Line. The mechanic also...
Good call... Going to the dealer now to confirm if the retention valve was replaced at the same time. Did not realize the return line might be available without it.
Regarding the battery; Doesn't seem weak but will have it checked from a source outside the dealer.
Thanks!
Fuel Return Line...
Thank You for the detail - I can tell you the dealer was quite surprised when I walked in with this level of information!
After doing some homework I have confirmed that when they replaced the Cam Positioning Sensor in June they also replaced the Fuel Return Line. I wasn't...
@VeeDubTDI - Thank you for your response! This sounds very promising...
I contacted the dealer to try and push them this direction as the car is sitting there pretty much inoperable. Here is the response from them: There is no such thing as a valve on the fuel return line. There is however an...
Vehicle is a 2012 Golf TDI with manual trans and it has been meticulously maintained. Purchased new in Southern California and at about 3,000 miles a REVO stage 1 tune was installed. The tune was great and I loved the car until the odometer hit about 72,000 miles. That was back in April of this...
