You can use BMW 2.5tds injectors (there are other engines to...)
Wag IDI engine head doesn't handle extra heat from the fuel, BMW and MB are made from better materials.
We have drive here on the icetrack with diesel long time, MTDI is the best choice.
I haven't build lot of Mtdi's but for track I use 1.5mm plunger lift.
1mm to 1.5mm is where to aim. I think something like 1.3mm- 1.35mm would be optional for street to start with.
More timing, more noise but you got more power on the top.
On my Seat Leon mk I
GTD1752vrk, 2 bar of boost
.260 nozzles from Wuzetem
10mm pump
In tank lift pump
FMIC
2" stainless intake piping
BRM intake manifold with Cadillac Escalade Throttle Body
4" stainless pipe between turbo and airbox
2.5" stainless exhaust with two resonators
All unnecessary...
I monitored engine readings with vcds!
Everything was same when engine behave good or bad except car speed on group 006, weird is that cluster is showing correct speed all the time but vcds is showing 0 km/h when cars starts to act funny.
No codes in CVDS.
I start to think logically, I would heat up car interior winter to.
Today was +5 degrees outside, no problems, but yesterday was +12 on car made funny things.
I think I have to to some graph logging with VCDS, it should show up what else jumping up and down...
But why...
Can dashboard cluster bad connection fooling pump G149?
It started in hot weather when car was siting in the sun, it was almost impossible to ride, pump voltage was jumping up and down. When engine warmed up and car interior cooled down everything was fine.
I have changed injector pump, pump...

Finally made some "science" with plunger springs!
I got them from my friend. He thinks they are from VP30...
Can someone confirm VP30 spring measurements?
I don't know why you need bigger nozzles than 0.360mm. VE pump don't have enough fuel to support even them.
0.360mm nozzle can flow 200cc of fuel up to 7000 rpm on average of 600 bar pump pressure in decent time.
There isn't problem with big nozzles, you can have it done in any size.
There are many ways to make big nozzles.
If you increase pump pressure your nozzles are flowing more.
Some time ago I made nozzle size calculator to got some understanding of spray time etc.
I don't know how or can I upload...
Hello
I know wrong place for this post but this is best place to find this picture.
SORRY!!!
Some years ago there was some pictures 1.9 engine with P7100 injection pump. Does someone have this picture or even maybe car owner is in this forum.
But how to avoid this problem or how to make it stronger?
Nitriding as they are doing with camshaft?
Grinding more material off and weld on some really strong material and machine it?
We all have noticed that clear fuel is going in but bubble fuel is coming out of the pump.
In some point there are some kind of vacuum on top of the plunger when there are filling time. 12mm head is making bigger vacuum than smaller ones and are pulling more air out of the fuel.
Even if pump...
What springs did you use?
My pump heated fuel quite a lot first 500 km so I didn't push it at that point.
I'm using only PD lift pump, but was monitoring pump inside pressure some time.
Jeah we have quite bad fuel....
I used 0.240mm nozzles, some engines what are using 12mm head are using to 0.240mm nozzles. (Now I have 0.260 nozzles)
I reduced my fuel map something like 30%
I thought that factory automatic pump with 11mm plunger, higher cam lift, 0.158 nozzles and higher fuel...
Hello!
A year and a half ago (25K km) I buildid 12mm pump:
In good condition pump
New shaft bushes
New seals
New 12mm bosch head (made in Germany)
Strongest springs what I find (TDS I thiks)
And now there are lot off metal inside the pump, I thought I have broken spring or bad camplate roller...
