Just for giggles, try an iq adjustment. I had a problem sounds similar and that is what it was. Could hardly believe it. Met another fellow with the same problem and he had been into the shop a couple times with no luck. Quick iq change all is good. Mine just started up out of the blue as well...
I forget what the deal was but I have one to and bottom line is that it isn't supposed to bother anything. Apparently its an over the left shoulder deal.
I have an air compressor and dryer available that would be great for a shop.
The compressor is a 10hp 220v 3phase with a new pump about 3wks old on it and the dryer is a 100scfm 110volts.
Local p/u only due to the size.

My preference is Oakley with the amber lenses. I have a pair with dark lenses but don't like them near as much. Used to have Vuarnets and liked them to but harder to find these days.
I did my clutch at 220,000 and it now has 282,000 so maybe after 50-55 or so it started to slip. And I'm not that hard on clutches. I used to drive truck for a living.
I got mine from MJM and no complaints on the service side, just some slipping already. Maybe mine is not the norm but I've heard others mention the same thing so I think it is not uncommon that they won't hold the 300 ft lbs they that they say they will. If you do go with the VR6 you might want...
In my work I see a lot of stripped head allen bolts. 9 times out of ten if you hammer the end flat again then tap in the allen key they will come free.
If your doing a chip and nozzles, I'd be tempted to go with a little stronger clutch. Mine has already started to slip a little and it only has 80,000 on it. Not bad but enough that I'm careful now.
If I had it to do over again which I may have to in awhile I would go a little stronger.
