I've been trying to upload pictures to the TDI Club Picture Server using the instructions from HERE.
However I get the following error message:

I'm the "crazy" owner. FYI the coolant heater was unplugged, but the battery charger/maintainer/desulfator was plugged in for the desulfation function during the summer heat.
I bought the Golf in March 2013 after the Jetta was taken out by a Stop sign runner in February 2013.

It may be a bit fugly, but if it's working then I'd be inclined to leave it be.
Removed Valve Cover to check Lifters and Camshaft, both of which are in great shape at 189,000km. I also took the cover apart and cleaned the Oil Demisting Pads.

The plastic link may still be available...not sure if it's OEM or aftermarket.
Plastic link part number: 1J0411315J

I was able to get the plastic links last year when I redid my suspension.

Just a heads up to let you guys know that neither Diva nor Sunny Hill on Queen Street in Cambridge have diesel. They are gasoline only stations. I visited them both to confirm this.
