    Unfixable 2010 TDI Touareg

It was and is, IMHO, a mistake that some owners of 2010-2012 3.0 TDI’s chose to have the so-called fix done rather than selling back the vehicle to VWAG. These vehicles are basically time bombs for emissions problems. The more recent MY’s are better (though by no means trouble free). They had...

    Q5 or Q7?

Yeah I’m not a big fan of the new generation Q5, but I think the previous gen 2017 and earlier is super. If something happened to mine I can easily imagine replacing it with another, although I haven’t looked around much. Loved my Touareg also.

Volkswagen exec reaffirms commitment to diesel: ‘Now it is absolutely clean’

Buddy of mine who knows how much I love the TDI asked me what my next car would be after the Q5. I couldn’t come up with an answer. That sucks.

    EPA flexing their muscles

^^This has all been argued before in other threads that were about dieselgate specifically. This particular thread has now migrated back to the old argument. I was part of allowing that to happen, much to my chagrin. I didn’t miss the point, Tikal. I’ve heard it over and over. I also know the...

    EPA flexing their muscles

I apologize then. The moral imbecile remark was not directed at Matt. But VW could have complied, as I stated above. It would have made for more business for those who take care of servicing TDI’s, not less. In the vast majority of cases, two wrongs do not make a right. I just don’t think that...
