Here is a link to my craigslist posting. My wife and I needed a bigger car as our family is expanding. This was and still is an amazing car. My wife and I bought it from our in-laws who took great car of this little car. They changed the oil 3,000miles. My wife and I took great care of the car...
This car gets on average 44 mpg. I have gotten as good as 50 mpg during a trip from Seattle WA. to Portland OR. This vehicle comes with a few service receipts and a personal log book of mpg and service dates. Current mileage is 257, 411. Timing belt and water pump were changed at 246,000ish...
I am looking into purchasing a used 2011 Jetta Sportwagen with the 2.5L. Gas, I know:eek:. The vehicle was re-ended and the tailgate replaced. The owner of te car says that the seat belt needed to be replaced also. Becuase the seat belt was replaced, the airbag light is on.
The car is $8700...
I've tested the wires to the glow plug harness closest to the harness but no power. Once the glow plug harness gets into the main harness I've timid to go touch it. I don't want to take apart that main loom and mess something up.
As far as I can tell the power out is good. I tested the relay and its good. How else could I test the power out? I did turn the key to cycle the glow plugs and tested the power in the rely. I got power in a few spots that lasted the duration the glow plugs were cycling. I kinda don't want to...
Here is what I've come up with. There is something wrong with my wire harness. I'm not able to the glow plug harness cause there is no power to the harness. I'm saying the main wire harness is damaged. There is power to the relay, the relay is fine. There is no power to the glow plug harness and...
okay thank you. Have either of you spliced a new wire into the fuse box to bypass an old wire. My glow plugs aren't working and the only thing I can determine is its in my wire harness. So I wanted to splice in new blow plug wires. The relay is good. The power source to the relay is good.
Here is a predicament that i'm in. I have power to the relay and power to the strip fuse underneath the drip tray. I have lost power to the glow plugs somewhere between the relay and glow plug harness. Has anyone done a wire splice for the glow plugs than run from the back of the fuse box( glow...
I have a few things that I want to fix on my 98 Jetta. I am curious if anyone can point me in the right direction for a few parts. I first want to re-upholster the two front seats. Where can I get the foam for the seats?
I also want to add a block heater. Do you know of a good brand of heater?
I know i'm jumping in, but quick question. Is there a fuse for the main glow plugs on a 98 Jetta? If so is it behind the fuse box or located somewhere else on the car. I know there is a strip fuse in the engine bay under the rain drip tray. What does this fuse go to?
I checked the strip under the rain tray just in case. Its not blown and looks golden. I have new glow plug relay in the vehicle. I popped the case off it and made sure it wasn't damaged. That still looks great.
I've been having trouble with my 98 Jetta starting hard first thing in the morning. I went through and did the glow plug procedure found on the thread "Glow plugs 101 Ver 2". I did that and found zero power is making it to the glow plug harness. I checked the relay and its fine. I looked in my...
