I've tested the wires to the glow plug harness closest to the harness but no power. Once the glow plug harness gets into the main harness I've timid to go touch it. I don't want to take apart that main loom and mess something up.

I used a circuit indicator on the pins. The tool lit up on a selected pin while the glow plugs were cycling. Is this what you mean?

As far as I can tell the power out is good. I tested the relay and its good. How else could I test the power out? I did turn the key to cycle the glow plugs and tested the power in the rely. I got power in a few spots that lasted the duration the glow plugs were cycling. I kinda don't want to...

okay thank you. Have either of you spliced a new wire into the fuse box to bypass an old wire. My glow plugs aren't working and the only thing I can determine is its in my wire harness. So I wanted to splice in new blow plug wires. The relay is good. The power source to the relay is good.

I have a few things that I want to fix on my 98 Jetta. I am curious if anyone can point me in the right direction for a few parts. I first want to re-upholster the two front seats. Where can I get the foam for the seats? I also want to add a block heater. Do you know of a good brand of heater?

I checked the strip under the rain tray just in case. Its not blown and looks golden. I have new glow plug relay in the vehicle. I popped the case off it and made sure it wasn't damaged. That still looks great.
