I am buying this car on thursday, and after looking at i i can tell someone has been playing around with it. car has a bigger turbo, egr cooler delete, and a 6 speed swap. The clutch doesnt feel stock in it either. Just hoping to find the person who built it just so i know whats all done to it...

just tried that. for my 2013 it only disables it for a brief moment. almost as soon as i start driving traction control is back on again.

if you think the mk7 headlights are bad, try driving an mk4... i honestly don't find the stock headlights too bad, i did upgrade to a better H7 bulb than the factory one and it made it a bit better. have you checked your headlight alignment? i know mine was angled way too low from the dealer.

Yea removing and opening the transmission isn't something I really want to do on car ramps. Well not sure what to do now.

Picked the car up as a fixer upper, it's a 2000 with 420k km on it. It shifts fine from 1st to 5th but if you put it in reverse it just makes a bang and grinding and pops out of gear. Was hoping it was bad adjustment on the short shifter kit that's in the car, but took the cable off, manually...

Bump $400

Took them off my mk4 before I sold it and don't fit the new one so time to pass them on. They are 5x100 bolt pattern. Tires are around 70% tread, only used them for one summer. Looking for $450

Mine ran out on the 6th and I still get the three channels I used the most? Anyone else have this happen?

I really like the new Hyundai sonota hybrid, and with the warranty they are offering I think if vw wasn't making tdi's I would have got one of them.

I just want to put it out there that yes it's a ****ty situation, but no manufacturer is perfect. You could have got any make/model of car and had something like that happen. If they don't want to solve the problem for you, that's when you should start to really get upset.

If you can afford it I'd look for a 2010 and up. Gets the newer motor and 6 speed. Of the ones you listed any of them could be great or could be garbage depending on how they were treated.

Just put a straight piece of pipe in, sounds way better than any muffler.

For the first few months! Why stop :D I also noticed mine doing a lot of regens in the first few thousand km's, and yea the smell isn't very pleasant.

Vw did release it 3 years ago In 2011? Been relatively unchanged since then :confused:
