NOT doing the BUY BACK on my TDI

I'm waiting. Love my TDI and can't think of another car where I get close to 50mpg on trips and is this much fun to drive.

    Rev Limited?

Thanks Corsair! Thought I would be making a visit to the dealer which is not convenient.

    Rev Limited?

Pulled into the driveway and the car didn't have its normal sound. Put it in park and revved the engine. I wouldn't rev over 2,500 rpm. Is this normal

    EA288 - A diesel way forward?

Idea! . Brilliant! I'll use the "dealer" card for two tires from the VW dealer for the wife's Benz and use the VISA for the other two from Costco! My VW is only six months old with a tad over 7k miles on it. Don't see it needing anything for quite some time. By the way we are very happy with...

    EA288 - A diesel way forward?

"goodwill"? Received mine and activated it today. The VISA debit card must be used on actual expenditures. I thought I could just deposit it in my bank. NO. So I bought a few things at the grocery store and hit the key to get cash back. Worth a try. NO. Get money from an ATM? NO. So...

    EA288 - A diesel way forward?

My '15 Golf TDI is not affected - maybe??? I found this UK VW web site and entered my VIN. It said my '15 Golf TDI is not affected? Mine was an early '15 model build. I wonder if all it is checking are TDIs sold in the UK and why doesn't the U.S. VW web site have the same thing? I would be...

For TDI S Owners, heated seats needed?

Sheepskins $450 would buy some very nice sheepskins. Having said that I have had heated seats in my last three cars and it is hard to do without once used to them. My "S" doesn't have them so we'll see how it goes when the temp drops.

    Mk7 Common issues and resolutions

Door problem After getting the rear window washer nozzle leak fixed with a new nozzle a couple weeks ago I now have a problem with the right front passenger door. Takes quite a bit of effort to get the door open! Another very inconvenient appointment to get something else fixed. Still, we...

    Rear Bumper Protection

As a golfer I would have liked something on the top of the rear bumper to provide protection when dragging clubs in/out of the back and when tying up shoes while resting foot on the bumper. My Benz ML350 had a stainless piece on top of the bumper that worked perfectly. I know a lot of other...

    Mk7 Common issues and resolutions

Fixed leaking rear window nozzle Just picked up the car from VW so time will tell if the repair works. They had to order the part which took an extra day. Replaced the nozzle per the Tech Tip TurnOne posted. Same part number as mentioned in the Tech Tip: 5GO-955-993, Washer Jet.

    Mk7 Common issues and resolutions

Rear Nozzle Leaking Rear window wash nozzle leaking. Have an appointment tomorrow to get it fixed. 1,800 miles on the car and loving it. I had an '06 Benz ML350 (traded it for the TDI) that had the rear window nozzle leak also. Maybe the same supplier

MPG impressions on 2015 Golf so far

Amazing! Purchased our new Golf TDI June 15th and two days later took a trip to Savannah, GA. Round trip was almost 1,000 miles and we averaged 54.1 MPG! Almost all of that was freeway driving and on cruise. Very impressed. We traded an '06 Mercedes ML350 which at its very best got 23 MPG...
