Well if the width is the same, and the tire is only about 6 pounds heavier...how many mpg will I lose? The guy I called about the new rims said there was that 6 pound diffference.
Then the question that comes to mind, is why are all these other people with FWD posting about equal tire pressures on all 4 tires?

I wasn't sure if this was standard on most 06 Jetta TDI's. But the front tires are 35 psi tires and the rear are 44 psi tires. (This is what the sidewalls say is the max psi)
(1) Is this standard?
(2) Is there some advantage to doing this, possibly better control/handling or gas mileage?

I'm just looking for decent sound. I was planning on just swapping out the speakers and installing an iPod adapter.
Would you suggest anything else? I didn't know if it would be worth it to install a head unit or a subwoofer.
Using Neutral
I drive an 06 Jetta TDI.
I was just curious if throwing the car in neutral on straightaways with a slight decline, and hilly areas is worth the gas mileage I save.
Obviously when I need to use the gas again I put the transmission back in drive and slightly ease back on the gas.
