My button isn’t stuck at all
picked the car up, started and shut it down a few times during test drive, picking up a few days later and driving home for 2 hours.
the not shutting off has only become a thing since I jump started the car.
I will try cleaning the contacts and stuff but from my...
I did read that elsewhere too, however, the problem only occurred after I jumpstarted the vehicle, and the vehicle started saying, move selector lever, to position P, when coming to a stop
that being said, I will still try to clean it.. just in case
vcds also says nothing regarding it
Got it sorted.
What I did was lift up the backseat and disconnected the power to the primary fuel pump in the tank, and then disconnected the battery. The car shut off
that’s not just gunna piss fuel everywhere?
edit: do not, I repeat, do not do this. Fuel will piss out at you. Ask me how I know. The worst part is, I already knew it would, I was just getting frustrated.
id rather pull the fuse for the fuel pump or something if that’s the case
So I bought another Passat for the gf to drive. The guy who I bought it from put in some AliExpress android infotainment system.. that doesn’t shut off… so it drained the battery. I jumped the car and took it to my shop to throw into the lift to see what it needs and well… I can’t get the damn...
cant seem to find it on rockauto or fcp or idaprts just in the rear lower control arms themselves
most i found it on was vwparts.com but then its not actually listed... just shows it numbered in the diagram(s)
does anyone know where i can get the bushing for the rear lower control arm that is up in the subframe area? id rather just replace the bushing instead of replacing the entire control arm
Thanks, I’ll have to check this out
haven’t had a chance to get my hands on a vcds yet to know exactly what is wrong with it yet, but there must be a few different potential codes would be my guess
Complete ****ing mistake going after the tumbler… there’s a “valet” key that’s a little plastic black key that you keep to kick the pass through and the glove box
remote start just isn’t working. Double click it and nothing happens. Keyless isn’t working either, somethings disconnected, me...
yeah I found a few videos on getting the cylinder out and rekeying… currently going the trunk pass through and it’s a *****…. Damn stupid to get this cylinder out
The remote start is definitelyyyy useful to me, especially in the winter
Well… turns out there’s there’s a separate key for the pass through to the trunk and the glovebox which is now known as the “valet” key, which is a complete misnomer… cause it is by no means the key you give your valet…
