Wow that really sucks. Quite A few of us had green check marks on the site, but were in limbo and making no progress being approved. One member found some VW executive email addresses and for some of us emailing them magically made the process move along again.
I would compose a nice email...
Last night at about 8:30pm CT I copied and pasted the nice letter provided above too the the VW executives and the class management people. This morning at 10:04 AM CT I received my offer letter!!!! (only waiting about a month which is still fast ). Thanks to the Palouse and the other member...
With the miles you have on your car now, plus being so far underwater it does not make sense to keep it IMO. Buy a used one now, but NOT from a VW dealer!!!! This way you will probably be entitled for at least some of the "fix it" restitution money. Look on cars.com and auto trader for used...
After doing a lot of reading (of the court docs and here) I also bought 3 additional tdi's after 6/28/16. I made sure to only buy ones that would bring a nice profit not factoring in any additional amount above the 9/15/15 clean trade in amount. After looking at the online claims website my...
If it is drives at all or can be made to with minimal cost, beg and plead with the adjuster to not total it and just make it drivable enough to turn in...
That is the thing, this is at the top of the the sample settlement tables as well which mean you my not get the full buyback amount...
Page 6 paragraph 4- https://www.vwcourtsettlement.com/en/docs/Executive%20Summary%20of%20Proposed%20Settlement%20Program.pdf
It also says in paragraph 2 that...
What do you think about this statement that is on the VWCourtsettlement.com sample table page?
"These tables assume that you owned your car when the emissions accusations became public on September 18, 2015, and that you still own it. If you no longer have your car or if you purchased it after...
Wow, I'm another one in the bad clutch camp. My 2012 has 35,000 miles and about 200 miles ago I started to get the clutch clicking when not engaged. I have been driving manual trans for 30 years, just about all of my miles are highway with minimal traffic, and I use the clutch when shifting only...
I have had the pulsating clutch pedal since day one as well. I feel I need to go to the dealer and let them know about this because I thought it was normal at how many of the other 6m guys have this pulsating pedal as well?...
Everytime I open my trunk, I enjoy those lights!!! Almost 2 years later and they work flawless, even with my less than professional solderless joints (as a plumber I have had my fair share of burns from soldering copper, didn't feel like having it rain down on me at home as well!!)...
I always do start it right when the light goes off. The radio came on and I shut it off (I expected the light to stay on a bit longer) and then I hit the starter. I have never had it not start in about 3 revolutions.
As far as cycling the glow plugs multiple times it totally makes a difference...
As I was reading this thread, I kept wonderng why I have never had this experience with the TC till I read your post. Almost anytime the TC activates I put the hammer down! I think it is just my natural reaction to the engine cutting power... Everytime I drive the P in the snow/ice I am amazed...
-15* F cold start
With the cold snap that hit Chicago and most of the nation earlier in the week my company gave us Monday off. I decided that it would be a good time to conduct an experiment and see if my Passat would start in -15° temperature after sitting outside of its normal spot in my...
I bought mine from the dealer in town (~5miles). They found the car with the options and color I wanted and had it transferred. The next closest dealer is about 20 miles, but don't plan to ever go there because my local dealer has been great to me so far!
It was 0* F at the house this morning, and the Passat had been sitting outside for about 13 hours. It started great, maybe one more "whao" than normal. The last two days it has been single diget temps and both times right after the car starts there is a loud buzz from under the hood that lasts...
