Awesome thank you for the response, where is the glow plug module located? I found a box with two relay's but I unplugged them and it had no effect on the voltage at the glow plugs. Thanks!

With the factory harness plugged in below, should we be seeing 12volts from each red wire?

I have half of my glow plug harness not getting any voltage, I tested the the 2 wires that lead into the harness and one gets 12v and the other nothing. Are they both supposed to be 12volts? I read 5 pages of the GP v2 thread and couldn't find it.

Whitbread what did you do to get a job there? I know you did a lot of fab work on your own and I'd like to get into the same thing. I can't weld tho :(

I just had to go through this, go to a junkyard and get one for $100-$150 vs. new is like $400+ just my opinion...

Yeah I just PM'd him about getting a 1/2 cut, it seems way easier to get a japanese engine than one from Germany for some reason. I just want a RWD diesel car dang it! Too bad toyota didn't make one....

Just wondering if anyone has imported a non-VW diesel engine for a swap and gotten it past customs etc. Not looking to do it myself but pay a importer.
