Random thought. If you are over the CBB average mileage you get to use the in service date to figure out your daily average km's and subtract them back to Sept 15.
if you bought a TDI the week before the scandal or close too and currently have say 100k km, you are way over average km. When you...
I don't know if anyone has looked that close at the US buyback value with the mileage deduction and compared them to the Canadian range...They are pretty similar.
For example my 2012 wagon in the US with the compensation was around $20k plus a few 100 here or there for options. The lowest...
I'm really hoping that most of us are wrong, and they publish the mileage deductions on Jan 4th so we all know roughly what we will get for the buyback. No one will be able to make an informed decision until we have those numbers.
I'm also wondering if anyone has contacted the CBB to find out...
Did anyone think that we might get a buyback based on precedence set in the US agreement? Considering we follow the same standards...I can't see how they could get out of it. Just a thought....
The judge really needs to set a deadline for a deal to be reached like they did in the states. Everyone here that wants/needs to sell their car is being held hostage. It's nonsense what VW is getting away and has gotten away with.
So looking at vw's twitter. The courts were updated yesterday. But since it's confidential we aren't going to hear a thing until a deal is reached. Complete BS. I'm done with VW 100% after this is sorted out.
At first I was thinking they pulled out that money to cover the few states that are suing them. But they do mention the money is for North America, not specifically the U.S. Since it is right around the amount it would cost for a canadian buy back, hopefully we all get good news tomorrow.
I just hope it's what officially going to happen here, whether it's a buyback or just compensation. I will be extremely upset if the update is "talks are going well, we hope to have a deal reached soon." I'm pretty sick of the lack of updates. It's been almost a year and we really haven't heard...
On July 29, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice is scheduled to receive an update from Volkswagen and the other parties on the progress of proceedings and discussions about affected 2.0L TDI vehicles in Canada. The Court has ordered the parties to keep the details of the discussions...
I'm just upset there basically has been no update for the Canadian market since September 15, when this all started. There isn't a gag order in place in the courts up here, so whey has nothing been released so far?
You can message buzzken on here. He make's excellent exhausts. My brother and I both have the dpf delete from buzzken, but I have Ken's 409ss cat back and my brother has a borla. The borla is louder and has a more raspy sound. I find Ken's has a much cleaner sound to it.
dpf delete and stage 2, I would never go back....With regards to emissions can you leave the dpf delete on and reflash back to the stock tune just for the test?
