Haven't had a dead battery, no. But it is fairly weak, and needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.

Just realized my door wont lock either. Will unlock, but won't lock and alarm. I have to lock the doors from the passengers side..as well, the door light stays on. I'm guessing this means its defnitely the door switch? How annoying is that to replace? Do these cars ever go more than a week...

That reminds me, my glow plug light goes off within probably a second of turning the key on. Is that normal, or is it malfunctioning?

Not much I can do about it while stranded here. Any likelihood it'll be okay just changing the belt, getting it home? Once home, I can at least work on it. Right now, I'm more focused on just getting myself and the family home.

Yeeeeaaaah... Unclipped the timing belt cover, the belt is broken, well, limp. Any hope my valves/pistons are okay, and I can just redo the timing belt?

Yeah, I hear that a lot, about the timing. However, I really feel it's fuel related. I will deal with the timing after I get home, if I get home.
