I think it's entirely possible the cam did do something, but the previous tuning strategy didn't take advantage of the change in profile. Either way, we will never know since going back to a stock cam for comparison isn't in the budget.
I'm more curious if I'll ever get to ride in this beast...

I loved this car when you came to pick up the jetta front end. Definitely liking where it's been taken! Getting your tune sorted for the new parts should net you a lot more power and economy (if you can keep your right foot tamed).
So, what's happening with your cam? Are you buying another one (whatever type and supplier that may be), or is it being replaced by the vendor you originally purchased it from? 15K miles is a bit low for cam replacement...

Yes. Sorry, I was updating what was going on as we were working. I cleared the codes when we installed the new battery. Nothing came back after running for 10 minutes. Only anomalies are listed in my previous post. Chris and I advised Mike to find some Diesel Purge and do the process listed here...
