You sound like my VW dealer, yes VW covered the bulk of the costs so far and yes the urea heater is not covered by the emissions warranty even though it is an emissions part and yes the boost hose is not a part of the turbo warranty. Fundamentally, I don't believe that VW has fixed the HPFP...

Yes, I am beyond the 60k power train warranty (at 68k currently), but within the turbo warranty. They claimed the particular part that failed is not covered under the turbo warranty, so yes, small print item not covered.

Thanks, I already had it fixed. They kinda had me forced into it, I was out of town on business when it failed and had to get it repaired asap for my wife while I was gone.

I experienced a failure of a line surrounding the turbo (under the heat shield) which caused a massive boost leak. VW refused to pay to repair the line (~$500) under the turbo warranty since the turbo itself had not failed. Has anyone experienced a similar failure? I am sorry I don't know...

I just took my 2012 Passat TDI in for a check engine light. I received a quote for just over $1k to replace this part. I have 63k miles on it right now. I am challenging that it should be covered under the emissions warranty. We will see how successful I am.

Welcome fellow Texan TDI owner! I drive mine all over the state and I am in Houston a few times a month. In fact I am heading to Beaumont tomorrow. We should plan a Texas TDI get together. I have put about 17k miles in Texas on mine since moving here in January. Andy

I just had my 20k service done on my 2012 TDI SE. I have not had any issues with the car at all. I have only had the factory service done and whatever recalls they had on the list during my normal service. I don't think any of the recalls actually amounted to anything more than inspections...

I asked for an empty jug at my 10k mile service. They gave me a 2.5gal jug, but it didn't have a special neck or anything on it, I ended up just throwing it away. I am not sure how to get one of the correct jugs, maybe my dealership has the tool you can buy and they are using different jugs...

I got the sunroof/Nav option on my SE. I wouldn't have ordered it that way, but it was the only one available. I am not sure if you can justify the cost, but I have found it to be REALLY handy and I love having it.
