Thanks for the feedback. Yea not his first car. Son and Daughter currently going to the same school, so we got them a 2021 RLine to share.
It's going to her when he graduates.
It's been a long time since I've been on the site.
Son id graduating college soon and has some money saved up for a vehicle so that he doesn't have to take out a loan.
Wants a manual and found a decent 2013 Wagon. Just have concerns and trying to catch up reading through the site. We sold our...
To be fair though, a lot of people are reporting the hard starts and they just keep cranking, only to find out later about the TSB and getting it fixed.
So on any CR, how do you know it didn't experience that same thing?
Really stupid analogies, everything you mentioned, you have control over.
You can pull up the the same high volume station for years and get a bad batch. You could travel, try and find a good station and still get screwed.
Finding a place to fuel your vehicle shouldn't require research and...
Look there's a;ready a post about someone having this problem outside of warranty and getting screwed. Any of you that have this problem, just get it towed to the dealer to force there hand.
If you keep waiting and not getting it documented, VW will leave you out to hang since it's a TSB and...
I'd wager you're wrong. When we looked for our Legacy, we wanted a 6sp with sunroof. very hard to find and one local dealer wanted to sell us there's. They said they'd put in a sunroof - no problem as good as factory. No thanks.
Here's the rub, how lucky do you feel? Install one and I bet your chances of getting a fail HPFP covered are pretty much nil. I would leave my fuel system intact until after the warranty.
Bad analogy. If you are going to compare the HPFP to a timing belt, where's the replacement interval for the HPFP. In ten years, I never saw a car with a premature broken timing belt. Saw plenty of them where people let them go over the recommended interval, so yes, those are the owners...
Not sure how the legal system works up there, but is there any info about your case that you can post without getting in trouble to act as precedence for others to use if they have to fight VW
In the ten years I was a tech, the only busted timing belts I ever saw were past due for a change, can't say the same for the HPFP, so it's still a different animal.
LOL, I'm surprised VW hasn't tried to blame bad fuel for seats fraying. It seems the only way to get this done is be a pain there side, or get it towed for a no start.
Just keep in mind, VW is under investigation, it's in their best interest to cover the HPFP.
Ask anyone that has dealt with Extended Warranty companies, they can be a hassle to get to cover the most basic things. I seriously doubt an extended warranty will cover the HPFP. It will be just as...
