I had my 2014 Passat TDI in shop for a timing belt replacement. I picked it up and drove 7 miles and it just died. Would struggle when trying to restart. Shop had it towed and checked it out. This is what I got sent this morning. Is car going to be good or should I sell it as soon as I get it...
Low oil light came on and I popped the hood to see coolant tank was full of oil. I also had oil all over passengers side of engine and all down left side of car and in the wheelwell, I replaced oil cooler about 10,000 miles ago. Car is at 294,300 Could it be oil cooler failed and I need to...
I had a replacement turbo from ECS that went at 9000 miles after replacing it. I sent it back to them and after a few months they sent me a new one. You might have to take it out and ship back to them so they can check it out and replace.
Time bomb at 265,546 I replaced turbo at 253,000 and 263,000 ECS warrantied it and sent me one Nov 16th. My back ordered Turbo I ordered from dealership just showed up today.......Will be sitting on shelf standing by if ECS turbo goes out.
ECS tuning did warranty the reman turbo. I got a replacement delivered on 11/16/21 installed finished on thanksgiving day. Dealership notified me today my OEM turbo will show up next week. For you guys that bought a diesel gate car that has a warranty and as long as it has it don't tune the car...
My Reman from ECS lasted 9,000 miles and shaft seal failure. I ordered OEM from dealership 7/23/21 still back ordered. Mine will probably show up in December when it's 10 degrees out so it's going to be a cold install......LOL
I replaced my throttle flap valve G69 code. Car runs good other than the glow plug light still flashes for a day or two then goes away. Every time I scan it it shows G69 throttle position sensor signal to high or implausible. Do I have to do a relearn for this part? If so what steps and where to...
253,000 miles 99% highway miles. towed motorcycle about 1100 lbs. tune at 238,000 I got a lot from the turbo. I will say this if your turbo is still spinning, but you notice fuel economy going down replace turbo. After replacement fuel economy went up.
Since it is for off hwy use, just a 3 inch exhaust and a lot of room under hood....LOL I may have messed up by not spraying bolts with PB Blasters Sunday before I left for work. No after market so I ordered a reman from ECS. I made sure to order all gaskets and washers. Looks to be not to hard...
I have 250,000 miles 99% hwy. I have always been good at letting car idle down when coming off hwy to get fuel or rest. I was towing my motorcycle when it went.
I down shifted and car went to no power. I thought it went to limp mode, but as soon as I pulled over car died. I checked fuel pump and no metal flakes. I checked fuel pressure sensor it was 2.6 on resistance. Manual shows 3.7 +-1
It has started and ran for 2 seconds. I have VCDS on my laptop...

I have run into same issue. A few months back had issues and the crank sensor was bad. This time car died when down shifting and climbing a hill. Fuel pump did not fail, looking at fuel pressure sensor as problem now. I'll let you know what find out.
I had a similar problem with my 2013 passat. I kept getting codes for multiple missfire and missfire #1 I was holding off on injector replacement as long as I could. Car drove good after warm up. My car finally showed the code for engine speed sensor. Changed speed sensor. Car drove night and...
