It's a visual test only in ontario. As long as it is not billowing clouds of black smoke, you get a pass.
In Ontario testing of diesels is only for 'heavy truck'.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea whether or not the buy back depends on the condition of the vehicle? I mean , mine has a dent in it, and a needs some mechanical work too. The interior is also pretty beat up. Will this effect the buy back price or maybe even lead to a refusal to buy back?
My friend has managed to change, the actuator for my turbo and it is now out of limp mode and seems to drive well. However we have the following code: (we suspect maybe it is the actuator that needs to be calibrated properly, but we are just guessing. I am hoping someone can help point us in the...

I changed the plug in the second cylinder from the left(passenger side). Light Came back on. Not sure I have the right glow plug?
When Vagcom reports "Cylinder 2 Internal Pressure Sensor: Short To Ground". Which glow plug should I change?
I am a little confused about what cylinder/glowplug it is.
IF vagcom says cylinder two, then is that cylinder two, or the glowplug that is # 2 on the harness.
And from where do I count? Is it left to right, right to left? (standing at front bumper as you face engine)
Thanks
That doesn't sound too bad, at least they are not buried under a bunch of stuff.
I'm just concerned about a torque spec for the plug, I would likely f-it-up without it.
I think VW likes selling $ubscriptions to their online knowledge base! Rather than a manual you can own for the life of the vehicle.
Oh well, there's a dude on ebay selling what appears to the DVD based manuals that the dealers use, naughty, naughty.
@sflier
Does that mean Bently will not be coming out with a manual eventually or just not a 'factory' manual.
(erwin)
Ah yes, I forgot about that.
Any idea if they make it easy to do mass printings?
@ dweisel
Thanks for checking. Do you know if there is any other manuals? Does VW offer a factory manual?
I should really find out at least what the tightening torque values are!
If anyone can help! I would be grateful!
Well I guess that's what it is then. Just change the plug.
The parts guy at the dealer, his jaw hit the floor when he saw the $140 price. It was the first one he has had to look up. The old 'dumb variety' without the pressure sensor were like 40$, he said.
OT - good manual?
I dont have a manual yet.
Is this the best manual for my 2010 Golf Wagon Eco-Diesel and will it help demystify the vagcom codes?

warranty came and gone,
Yeah I did think about swapping the glow plugs. I not sure If I am being irrational, but I have a fear of messing with a glow plug unless it really needs to be changed. (ie snapping it off inside the block) But hey it's not that old, should come out like butter...
Would some one be kind enough to explain what's to be done?
From what i gather the 'pressure sensor' is built into the glow plug?
So.... do I put in a new glow plug? Or is there any other realistic explanation for this on a 2010 TDI wagen 90K kms ? Loose wire etc?
any comments please?

@T D I PowerThanks for the welcome! Great community here... and thanks for the info, musical and fuel related!
@JoeThanks for the great info, regular deisel, here i come....
Thanks for the info Joe! I wonder if shell is intentionally omitting the "ULSD" designation from their 'regular diesel' pump in order to confuse buyers and sell more premium diesel.
As the title would suggest I am looooooving my ride!:D
The fuel filler cap states ultra low sulphur diesel, the other day at the Shell filling station, they had 2 pumps "Diesel" and the other was labeled V-power Ultra Low-Sulphur Diesel. The regular 'Diesel" pump did not have any indication...
