I want to replace the filter in my old 1.6 turbodiesel but I've heard of some bad experiences with K&N. Is there any foundation to these fears? What is a good alternative, and where can I buy a pipercross replacement filter?

I'm trying to find out some information about a set of used rims that I just bought. Supposedly they were pretty sought-after by racers when they were first made. They're stamped "made in west Germany" I just wanted to know what happened to the company and some general info on these rims.

Those are the same rims that were on the VW Microbus concept at the Detroit auto show. I think they were 20 inch rims, yikes! Those things wouldn't survive for thirty seconds on Montreal roads.
