Warranty Extension for HPFP from VW

Okay, I contacted Legend VW on Long Island and was told that if I had no check engine light they would do nothing. I stated that a scan would show codes of low pressure, and engine workshop was appearing on the no starts. I stated I believe the HPFP is showing signs of failure. The individual...

    HPFP or N290

Flyboy I do have VCDS now and had changed out tank lift pump prior. JSWTD from your prior input you had stated the availability of the N290 from Europe, I get that. My point is in the states it is considered part of HPFP if the dealer will not supply it separately, so if they find the N290...

After you check voltage to coil, most likely your problem. Buy the kit with new magnet, do the job once. On an 01 beetle [gas] did it on the car unmounted with lines still connected. Did not have to evacuate or vacume. Oh the right snap ring pliars make it a breeze. Good Luck...

    Delayed Brakes ?

Noshametogame your predicament has caught my curiosity. Has anyone found the actual problem with your brakes. The dealer has to correct this blatant safety issue. There should be a Canadian agency to respond to safety issues. Good Luck.

    OEM vs Aftermarket

The dealers have huge markups with limited discounts. While the aftermarket has many levels of sales. That being said the aftermaket may not tool up for a limited production vehicle which I consider TDIs to be, say compared to Corollas [gas]. They will often buy from the OE manufactures and...
