Looks like we will just get paid for one. If the place we bought it from gets the money (a used car dealer) gets to collect they will rake it in, I would guess they had 20-30 in the lot.
Got my letter for #1 today! Letter states 2.0L TDI registered with ADOT on Sept 18th 2015 or 3.0L TDI on Nov 2nd 2015. We got 1/2 of the settlement on the 3.0 due to the previous owner filing too.
It does state up to $1000, and we bought all three in AZ used, I believe it is the ownership on...
The DEF warning with 900 miles to go started popping up. Wife called the dealer to assure the DEF fills were covered, they were. Went to the dealer, they filled it, washed it, and a "light vacuum" all in about 30 min. Fruit and snacks in the waiting room. I'm good with that.
Thx, did seem excessive but appears better now. she is running to phoenix w 100+ temps on the interstate. I'd imagine that finishing up the clean out cycle if more is needed.
Something I have recently noticed. 3 of the last 5 times I have noticed the wife starting the car and leaving the driveway the secondary fan starts and is blasting, LOUD! I don't see and codes, CEL or other issues. Anyone else? I'm sure going to explain this at the dealer would be a great...
Thanks for the input HerrK, Some on this thread get a little butt hurt and will call you names. PC means passenger car, I was unaware of that and was trying to help...
We love the Touareg just as much post fix! good luck
I would recheck after you filled it again, full on the gauge may not be the same routine you use to fill it... We bought a Sprinter Itasca Navion. The PO filled it for us but I hand calculated about 10mpg, after my fills I get 13 pretty routinely with a heavy foot and every trip involves...
I am apparently a fool. Help me out on "PC". I just visit this site and drive, not a TDI guru. I saw 3.0 TDI gen 2 on both your question and the thread link I posted.
I'll bet you are fun at parties....
Edit: Oh, Passenger Car? Thanks for setting me straight.
From Flagstaff (7000') to Phx (1600') and back with some city driving in the middle. Cruise on the highway at 83-84 where possible and some full footed acceleration tests hand calculated out at 25.95 mpg over 400 miles. Not too bad but it may have been better before the fix, I don't remember...
A month into our fix and I don't see a big change, maybe a bit louder, and she rolls down the hills better! I'll hand calculate a tank and post back. We still have the $699 in a "trust" to decide if we need a Kerma tune or just spend it for fun!
We bought a 2014 Touareg sport with 24K miles for $39k from the dealer a year ago here in Flagstaff. There is only 1 fix and we had it done last tuesday, not sure the 2015's had 2 fixes...
Only got 1/2 of the payment and bosch money, would do it again in a heartbeat.
Wife won't pull the trigger immediately after the fix but has agreed to a $699 trust account so that after 6 months we can buy the tune or dissolve the "trust" depending on post fix driving impressions
This is another take...
In Monday’s announcement, the Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board approved VW’s plan to remove illegal software in the SUVs, and modify hardware on some vehicles. The 2015 Audi Q7 as well as the 2013-2014 VW Touareg and Porsche Cayenne...
