I've recently purchased a 2003 Jetta GLS that had dropped a valve, it came with a running golf that was totaled. I swapped the engines over a the past 2 weekends and ended up with a running and driving rust free GLS, and a hurt ALH sitting on a stand waiting for me to spend way to much money on...
happened to me on my 99.5 Jetta. Ended up that the water pump bearing had...gone to better places... and luckily didn't take out my timing belt. not sure how it didn't leave puddles of coolant everywhere but worth a check before assuming the worst.
I was able to look at the CCM this weekend, both plugs look good, no worn, loose, or burnt pins. I believe I might have a short somewhere in the driver door harness that fried a few things... Is the CCM a module that needs programed to each specific car? or is it something that is capable of...
