    DPF LIGHT...no faults

Update. Code cleared from driving, but came back on in the winter, and still on. Definitely a problem with the deiselgate mandatory fix. I dont have the energy to fight the dealer over it. VW wins.

    DPF LIGHT...no faults

I am dealing with this now in our 2013 TDI sportwagen. We had the "fix" done at 94K miles. At 103K miles, the dpf light came on. Dealer claimed driving style not optimized for regens. For the record, this car drive in and out of Boston, commuting highway/local, 70 miles per day, 5+ days per...

    80/100w high beams not working

Good fun.. Reminds me of my 82 Scirocco that I owned in the early 90s. I put 100w H1 bulbs in all 4 lamps. 10 gauge wires, right to the bulb terminals, 4 relays, 4 in line fuses, and 4 10g grounds right to the battery. Had the yellow hella fogs on relays too... High beams with all 4 flame...

    Koni Reds vs. FSD's

Im noticing that the koni special actives for mkv amd mk6 have several part numbers availabe, in addition to the sportwagen application from idparts. This would be for different weight ranges. Tiguan, audi A3, golf, and others. Might be worth lookin into for my A3. The sportwagen app might...

Koni ACTIVE rear replacement, any impressions?

http://forums.tdiclub.com/showpost.php?p=5455064&postcount=170 MA to VA, and back this week. Very comfy on harsh roads. Takes big hits like potholes well. Not as agressive as the stock shocks. Handles speed bumps in stride. Mismatch with the fronts is noticeable, especially when cornering...

What did you do to your car today?

Dsg service via my homemade bottom fill set up and vcds for the temperature reading. Oil change too. And fuel filter. Last oil change was done at colonial vw in medford.. how hard is it for a dealership to put ALL the belly pan screws back? 3 rear screws missing and the rear of the belly...

    Koni Reds vs. FSD's

I installed the rear special actives in my wifes 2013 tdi sportwagen today. At 116k, the rear oem sachs were dead for sure. No gas pressure in either one. Bottom coil of one spring broken off. New oem rear springs and mounts. I added some audi TT upper spring seats for an extra quarter...

    Show what you tow!

I just picked up a used Harbeck sailboat trailer. German, late 80's. Seems very solid. Has a funky brake setup that i am going to ditch. I think it was used for a star class boat. I am putting my rhodes 19 on it. Its only going 6 miles, twice a year. Boat and trailer weigh 1800 lbs. Is...

    Koni Reds vs. FSD's

A stiffer Rsb will make cornering seem flatter, but ride quality suffers on bad roads. Also, as posted earlier in this long thread Fsds dont like to be lowered, Due to the bump stops confusing the special valve that controls damping. I am assumins same with the special actives. What...

Thanks Wilkins, for the reply. I have been down the Bilstein rabbit hole and back, with my 06 audi A3 3.2 awd. Wifes car goes on family road trips, commutes, and all of that. Need comfy. Just ordered the special actives and a whole pile of fluids and filters for the tdi sportwagen. Before...

    Koni Reds vs. FSD's

Thanks. Are the special active rears a monotube or twintube for this car? Rears for now. Fronts seem ok. Plus more of a pita.

    Koni Reds vs. FSD's

Bumping up this classic thread. Great reading. My wifes 13 tdi sportwagen has a broken rear spring, so at 110k miles, i am thinking shocks as well. Does anyone have real world experience with koni special actives as a rear only replacement shock, while keeping the stock front struts? This car...
