Mine stated both the mechatronic and the rear transmission bearing unless they are one in the same. I seem to recall them stating to me that I had to have a whole new tranny because the mechatronic was integrated into the tranny itself but I could be mistaken. Wish I could be more helpful.
Good...
I hope so too. I've lost the repair order and seem to have deleted it from my Google Drive but it was not a cheap repair. My vehicle was still under warranty. I no longer own it but once the mechatronic unit was repaired I had no further issues until faulty dealer repairs resulted in a blown...
I think everyone is preoccupied with the current fest going on in a month or so.
Planning for this will pick up after labor day or so I have been told.
Stay tuned!
Uh oh, looks like we may be too late.
This year I would like to announce the location of TDIFest 2014 at TDIFest 2013 so I'm getting this process started early. I am asking that these expressions of interest be submitted by May 30th, 2013.
After that the next step will be to put together an...
The only issue I see is with parking - especially on a holiday. From Google Earth the parking doesn't look to have a whole lot extra and we'd need some outside space for a Show and Shine event.
Just for the heck of it I found a site that submits your info to area hotels and they bid back what they can offer. I put in requests for Denver, Ft Collins, Aurora, and Colorado Springs.
I haven't seen the original leader here in a while and we may be too late to try to get something turned in...
Also, just to clear up a few minor things:
The toll road here is E-470 - it is not free, but Pena to 70 to 25 is free. The toll road is not the only option.
DIA is about 14 - 16 miles from downtown - not in the middle of nowhere. I live 10 minutes from DIA and can make it downtown in 30...
LOL the last time I even thought about a proposal a total of 2 people showed interest. Hopefully this project can get off the ground. I think, if all the commitment shown so far holds up, we can actually have a decent plan. If they want to announce this by this year's fest though there may be...
I agree. Yes, parts of Denver are not desirable but to call the whole area a dump is kinda offensive to those of us who live here.
The Adams County fairgrounds in Henderson have a lot of surface parking areas and a few buildings that can be rented out - the only problem is that lodging is not...
That makes no sense. I have had all my "warranty" repairs (10K inspections, seem to be billed as that) at two different dealers from where I purchased the vehicle and there is no $50 charge.
Unless I'm unclear what you are referring to?
Amen. And this is coming from someone who had a complete transmission failure on a 2011 at 14K miles.
I still love the hell out of this car and I'm coming back into the camp of I would never trade it in for another kind of vehicle.
I will second the occasional long stretches on the road only...
If HIDs are blinding you I suggest you see an eye doc. The VW's HIDs are not that bright or blinding.
Your argument sounds a lot like "you kids get off my lawn."
RNS315 does not have a DVD unit. It has flash memory for the navi and plays CD-R's.
I bought an '11 in Colorado and went for most of the same upgrades. KESSY wasn't offered in my model year but the Cold WX package has saved my um butt many times.
That really still does not answer what happened that day. Unless a part is failing somewhere the only other reason the chime didn't sound is that the belt had already been fastened.
Oh man I feel for you. Looks like that was San Clemente-ish. Traffic through San Clemente always sucks. Bunch of tourists and old retirees that forget how to drive on the freeway and slow way down around there. You get an interface of some traffic moving at 75/80 (the norm for I-5) and old farts...
James,
Didn't mean to imply you were inept with electronics. The various volume menus are hidden and even with my familiarity with electronics I never thought to check those menus. Yes, I was referring to playback volumes.
The only other thing to check (you may have done so already) is to see...
Have you checked the settings on the navi for input volume?
On the 315 its buried in one of the menus but you can choose the volume for Aux, the Media In, and the start up volume of the head-unit.
I haven't noticed the volume issue on my 4s with iOS 5.
