The only issue I see is with parking - especially on a holiday. From Google Earth the parking doesn't look to have a whole lot extra and we'd need some outside space for a Show and Shine event.

RNS315 does not have a DVD unit. It has flash memory for the navi and plays CD-R's. I bought an '11 in Colorado and went for most of the same upgrades. KESSY wasn't offered in my model year but the Cold WX package has saved my um butt many times.

Have you checked the settings on the navi for input volume? On the 315 its buried in one of the menus but you can choose the volume for Aux, the Media In, and the start up volume of the head-unit. I haven't noticed the volume issue on my 4s with iOS 5.
