I've 14 Q5, anyone here with recent experience? (passing smog with stage 1 tune or going back to stock for smog test)

For CA, if we go the Melone / any other stage1/2, route with emissions intact when we go for smog, do we need to roll back to stock for the test? and later put the melone / any other tune back till the next smog test?
