    Code 00550 on an AHU

Found the problem, was a clogged thermostatic fuel return tee. Replaced it and the car runs mint. If anyone has a similar issue check your fuel system first. I barked up a lot of different trees before finally solving the issue.

    Code 00550 on an AHU

Little history My AHU has 140k miles on it, had the evry mod since 125k, used with a switch and VERY sparsely, no issues observed. Been running a Malone stage 2 tune for about 10k miles. Over this past winter, I've been running into what I thought were fuel gelling issues. Once I merged onto...

Is there a way to delete MAF

Ive heard of the MAP diode mod for mk4s, is there a way to do a similar mod to a MK3 to delete the MAF sensor?

    Basically stalls at highway speeds

Timing is solid mechanically. Everything on the T-belt is lined up to a T. Call me a loser for not checking timing before posting but my cable is in the mail. I'll post what I see once I get the chance.

    Basically stalls at highway speeds

I've been having a reoccurring low power issue when I get up to highway speed and request more than 50% hp. The engine surges, dies and then emits a cloud of white smoke. Once I let off and get down to 60, the engine comes back to life. When I am running around town it runs fine, only seems to...

    Mk3 Jetta Speedo Broken

Update: I soldered the rear pins on my cluster. Still no speedometer. I even plugged in a spare 2.0 cluster I had lying around. That didn't help either, leading me to believe it may be a wiring issue. Stumped. Should I test the wiring, or is there something I'm missing?

Can someone help me find a belt

Yeah, the water pump is turned by the serp. The only thing turned by the v-belt is the Power steering pump. Found one of those that fits, but can't get any serp belts to fit. Does the Bentley manual say anything about how long the belt is?

Can someone help me find a belt

Hello. I have a 1999 Mk3 Jetta, Says AHU on a sticker on the engine, has no A/C. Every belt I buy for my Jetta is the wrong size. Napa, AutoZone, even IDParts have all given me belts that are way too big. Should I be getting the belts from somewhere special? Does anyone know the right part...

    Mk3 Jetta Speedo Broken

Hello. The speedometer on my Jetta suddenly stopped working. Was scooting along at a decent speed when it happened: it just started jumping around until it finally stopped at zero. Both the speedometer and the odometer do not work. This led me to think the sender went out. Replaced it with a...

Knee to fuel pump, think i broke it.

UPDATE: After sitting overnight, the codes cleared and the car is fine. Only codes that still pop up are over-fueling ones for my Evry mod. Weird to think they just cleared themselves. Its been weeks and I haven't experienced a similar incident I think I'm in the clear.

    Stealthy Evry Mod

Ok. There is no denying it. The Evry mod (http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=257122) is great. It's cheap and safe as long as it's used casually and properly tuned. However, the only issue me and others who try to keep a clean, stock interior is the eyesore switch and potentiometer that...
