One Ross Tech HEX-COM+CAN with unlimited VINs and USB adapter for sale in Ontario

I have had this tool for about ten years. It's indispensable in working on TDi's. No more TDi's in my family so it's for sale, $200.00 OBO.

TDIclub Secret Society of BMW Owners (SSBMWO)

Just got mine 2011 335D a month ago. Last week it received Malone tune, stage 2. I enjoyed the torque of TDIs for years, but this is on a completely different level. My wife's been driving ML350 (MY 2012) since May last year. Great long distance vehicle. 2000 Golf is still in the family (my...

    Stripped Crank Allen Bolt

I have used larger drill bit to drill off the head of the bolt. Once the pulley is off the bolt remnants come off by hand. You will need a replacement bolt, though.

No more Diesel for US from VW

It's going to be interesting to see the values of pre-common rail cars in coming days. I wonder if it's the same thing in Canada, 'no more VW diesels'.

    Help!!

I have that exact set-up (VNT-17 + Tune). It's probably the most economical way to get 60% more power than stock. Exhaust upgrade is not necessary, unless aiming at 200+hp. The beautiful thing is that I didn't experience any penalty in fuel economy when driving normally.

    Dieselgate, The Canadian Edition

15,000-20,000km extra will not kill nither one of those (timing belt or DSG transmission). I serviced a car with DSG that didn't have its fluid changed the first 280,000km. It's still running well at 430,000km. Timing belts have a good saftey margins too.

Volkswagen's Clean Air Act violations on 2009+ TDIs spark huge recall, investigations

Man, I wish could have done self-certification of all my tests in school. Imagine how many PHD's would be there in the world. They wouldn't do that in schools, well knowing the outcome, but they allowed that in the commerce when $$$$$$ are at stake. Who is naive here? Still trying to figure out...

Volkswagen's Clean Air Act violations on 2009+ TDIs spark huge recall, investigations

I started looking for these TDI's that 'lost'values here in Ontario. Good luck, the prices are the same as before, roughly five years old are 50% from when new. That was generally the rule of thumb here prior the dieselgate. I have even noticed the dealers (Dalmar in London, ON) advertising...

Volkswagen's Clean Air Act violations on 2009+ TDIs spark huge recall, investigations

Just kind of thought it's interesting about the levels of pollution being generated here. Now I get it, it's not the pollution in question here but dishonesty. So, how much we pollute it doesn't matter as long as we are honest about it. I am not trying to defend VW here, I've had my issues with...

Volkswagen's Clean Air Act violations on 2009+ TDIs spark huge recall, investigations

The owner of old diesel truck driving California length wise to get cheaper fuel in Oregon is suing VW because of excessive pollution???

Volkswagen's Clean Air Act violations on 2009+ TDIs spark huge recall, investigations

Who is dragging their feet. I have read most of the posts so far, entertaining and frustrating at times. VW lied and no one is happy about that. There are many who think the companies do this kind of 'shady business' just because they can. Having dealt with customers, suppliers, auditors and...

    Audi bringing A4 TDI to US- 190 hp/295 lb/ft

Thanks for the correction. Spelling issues - English being my third language, were (and are) still here. I thought the spell checker would have caught it. :)

    Audi bringing A4 TDI to US- 190 hp/295 lb/ft

While automatics have come a long way, I still prefer good old manual. Its advantage still outweighs its 'crudness'. I have a 2015 Jetta with DSG transmission. It's so much better than the old automatics. Still, driving to Mount Washington during the TDI fest, it felt lost in that world...

    Picture thread!

http://pics.tdiclub.com/showphoto.php?photo=113643&title=top-of-the-mountain&cat=6468 The weather was just perfect. I didn't even need the jacket. Why my photo won't show in this? I guess I am missing a step somewhere.

    Thank you!

My significant other (wife) said I should mention that the venue was superb for those who are not really int the cars. Trip to Mount Washington topped it off. Too bad I had to leave early this year. Hopefully, we have one next year. I do run events of a different nature and know how much work...
