Any name or link to the Steel ones? I have only seen Aluminum and heard that if they dent even a little the vibration over time from the dent pressing can wear a hole in the pan. Steel would be less easily dented for sure.

So, if I don't need new springs, is there any drawback to using the spacers instead of the springs?

No. Would a core heater failing cause the fuse to blow? The guys that checked this are TDI guys, so hopefully they checked the core heater itself. I will ask them which fuse it is and see if it's blown again.

Yeah, the light was off when i drove today! Lately i haven't been driving much. Probably drove under 7 mi when it came on the other day. I thought the re-gen could finish on it's own w/ out having to drive during them.
