Listening to your video it's hard for me to tell. It's difficult to get a good recording and playback (esp on my cellphone speaker) that is the same as what you will hear in person.
I didn't take a video of mine before replacement, but it sounded / rattled like the link below at idle and wound...
Mine has had the rattle that will come and go for 4 years or so iirc. Over the Summer I started noticing an out of balance vibration when slowly raising the RPM off idle - I decided it's time. I am collecting parts now with a few more on the way. The DMF has arrived from Diesel Geek. I plan on...
This link helped me when pulling my Driver's side.

I completed this job this yesterday in a couple of hours.
1) I did not remove the axle. I only removed the 3 lower ball joint nuts after paint marking their original location to confirm...
Tta my 2006 has 102k on it now. My day is coming on this repair as well. I suspect yours has a healthy rattle by now.
What made you decide to change it at 120k? What mileage did your mechatronic unit go out?
Over 100k miles now. I have gotten the flashing PRNDS fault twice. Pulled/cleared the codes @ 96k around June of '13 then it occurred again early this year around January. Cleared the codes, this time recallibrated the DSG and no other problems so far with better shifting. Codes point towards a...
Mine has done this for several years, I also suspect the DMF. It's not all the time, but often. Usually with it rattling at idle in Park you can slightly raise the engine rpm and it will go away.
This has been my strategy. All is still well at 97k miles, No problems at all. I switched to 5W40 Pento over 4 years ago @ 65.6k. I have not had another UOA completed.

My car came with the MXV4s and reached the indicators around 70k. I am still on my second set now and have no complaints. I will say that the last 20k I get out of them they will spin easily taking off in the rain. For what your looking for there may be a better option.

Turning the AC off and running the fan for a while with outside air before shutdown will help remove and prevent this issue. Very common.
