Mine has done this for several years, I also suspect the DMF. It's not all the time, but often. Usually with it rattling at idle in Park you can slightly raise the engine rpm and it will go away.

My strategy has always been buy the manual do all my own maintenance/ repair.

My car came with the MXV4s and reached the indicators around 70k. I am still on my second set now and have no complaints. I will say that the last 20k I get out of them they will spin easily taking off in the rain. For what your looking for there may be a better option. Sent from my DROID...

Turning the AC off and running the fan for a while with outside air before shutdown will help remove and prevent this issue. Very common. Sent from my DROID RAZR MAXX using Tapatalk 2

Thanks, I will keep that in mind when I do mine. Water pump was in great shape. Still tight, with no leaks.
