Plastic exposed to sun (UV) can leech BPA but since your not drinking the oil it shouldn't make any difference. Oil, doesn't matter what oil, is a hydrocarbon. For instance Gasoline needs stabilizers in order to prevent it from turning into goo and gunking up in the gas tank. Shaking up the oil...- ebolamonkey

That is 5 years in storage and the 5 years is also listed on the website I posted but that should be a maximum. Of course it is best to use it asap but one may never get that opportunity. Let us assume that the oil can last 5 years on the shelf. So does this mean that ATF/MTF/Differential fluid...- ebolamonkey

You plan to change the oil often within the year? That's about 9.5 oil changes worth in 11 gallons assuming 4.6 quarts per change. Here is the shelf life of various lubricants: http://www.machinerylubrication.com/Read/172/lubricant-storage-life Most have a recommended shelf life of 12 months...- ebolamonkey

€7000 - Price is negotiable. Got the car for $9300 and put over $700 into the car. Got the car about a year and a halfish ago in May 2009. Came with 95k miles and now it is at 110k so I put about 15k into it. 95% Highway miles. Timing belt and water pump was done by GPOJerry...- ebolamonkey
