Got it, thanks! Once i had them lined up again i noticed an alignment hole in each half and pounded in a 15/64 drill bit to keep em in sync. This is the original Sachs unit on a 2000 Jetta with 220k. The throwout bearing was the fail. Got a single mass kit from Boraparts (thanks Aaron you rock!)

Apparently the outer plate rotates independently and is obstructing the bolts. Do i need to get out the dremel??

OK this is weird, but after ignoring the problem for awhile (i just pulled back to use HBs when needed), eventually the high beams stopped working altogether. So i just replaced the bulbs and all is good. The HB filament on both bulbs was cleanly broken on both sides. Explain that!

So.... what happened?? :confused: I'm having this problem too now. Pull back and they come on, push forward and everything goes dark.

Did you check the Vortex? Blue headlights suck.

I lose about 3MPG on B99. But the engine runs so much smooother and cleaner. It's worth the extra cost. No war required.

Just before I bought my VR6 kit from BB, I contacted MJM for their price and it was considerably higher than it is now. Hmmm... I wonder what happened? I bought my kit from Bleached because he's local, he had the best price, and I knew there would be no bull :D. Even if MJM did step up with...

My intent in the o.p. was to focus on the Audi pod solution. It is superior to the Column Pod, because it actually replaces the factory column cover. To answer your questions, however, I got the single column pod from Newsouth, and in hindsight I should have trimmed and sanded the edges smooth...

It's a bootleg of the entire ELSA program. It was kind of a pain to get running, but wow, it's huge! Haven't had much time to dive into it, and it looks like you have to have a VIN number and stuff to make it easier to use, but it looks like it may be worth the 20 smackers. Anybody else got it?

Hammer's got an idea there. There should be some bolts on the framing under the center console that may be used to secure a bracket that will peek out from under the plastic wall in the passenger footwell.
