Problem: My battery finally went dead on my Jetta after 4 years of ownership. The only place in town that sells this battery is the stealership. I went ahead and forked out $120.00 for my new battery. I installed the battery, but now the...

<font color="purple">It is time to replace my tires. I will be heading out in 12 hours to get 4 new ones. I was going to go with the Michelin MXV4 Plus (which is what I have on the car now), but the price is so high. The guy at Discount Tire recommended...
They didn't really have anything bad to say about it at all. They were impressed with the engine noise and the lack of the "black cloud". They liked the low end torque for "crawling" and overall were happy with the vehicle.
No MPG figures - just stated 30% better than it's gas partners...
I wasn't sure where to post this as I could not post on the TDI News thread.
In this month's issue (April) of Four Wheeler magazine on page 94, they have an article "First Drive - Jeep Liberty Diesel - Is This the Diesel In Your Future by Ken Brubaker"
If this article wasn't so danged long, I...
There is also more on this at:

Count me in for one since I have scraped up the entire front PLASTIC dam on my '00 Jetta! VW needs to listen: More ground clearance needed!
I was quoted $260 for my timing belt replacement from a reputable repair shop in town (registered with the BBB) on my 2K Auto. It has 36K on it. Is it worth it to go to this repair shop, or should I go ahead and get gouged by the stealership?
Got Grandma once and Mom twice. I never seem to have this problem as I don't stick my arm up there until I am at a cruzin pace. Guess I am lucky.

Hi all! I got a message from a guy in Canada and thought I would pass it on to see what all of you have to say. I knew VW in the US was bad but Canada too? Please let me know what you guys think of this doozie:
On December 15/00 I leased a 2001 Volkswagen Golf TDI from Westminster Volkswagen...
I am not sure if this has been talked about before. If it has, then I apologize...if not, then here it goes.
My 2000 Automatic would not come out of park last weekend. I had put it in park for only a minute to hand money to the cashier in a drive through. When I attempted to depress the...
Well the time is getting near so I thought I would update everyone on the status of this GTG. You might have already received an email from me, if so...then ignore this post .

I need to get a head count (if possible) for those of you who will be attending the GTG. So far I know it is on October 6th. We are unsure of the exact time but the location will be at Ray & Rural in Chandler at Paisa's (Juan) house. It will be a BBQ so be sure to bring something for the...
Found out it is easier to have seperate cars. He wants to drive "his" way so he can kill his own vehicle. I want to drive "my" way so I will baby my vehicle.
Mel - and to top that, he said the TDI was the worst vehicle he has ever owned. Said too many things go wrong with it and VW Service...

I have to agree with Denton here. If you went to the one and only VW dealership in Las Vegas (Desert VW), then it suprises me very much that they even helped you. They sold us our two TDIs and it was THE WORST experience of my life. They still to this day have not fulfilled the final sale...
Well, I do not like my fiance driving my car. He likes to rev the engine up a lot and I think that is such a waste. He did own a manual TDI and now owns a Jeep. He gave up the right to drive my car when he sold his TDI. Now if we go offroading, we take the Jeep and only he drives. If we are...
Weedeater - actually we are engaged to be married in February. His reasoning for the Wrangler is that he wants to be able to go offroading, and be able to tow 2000 lbs. Not sure what the spare is mounted on, I will have to take a looksie and let you know.
2GreenTDIs - The car was brand...
