1) Would you have purchased a TDI vehicle without the tax credit?
YES, I see it as a bigger tax refund
2) If not for the tax credit, would you have purchased a different vehicle?
isn't this a combo of question 1 & 3?
3) What other vehicles were you considering, or what else might you have...
Yes, in about 18 months when my warrantly expires:

But I don't think it will happen. There's a reason why we cant get it now and IMHO I think it has to do with passing all 50 emissions. I don't think anyone makes "California Spec"...
I've heard 2 different opinions about the 1st oil change and they both make sense:
1) Manufacture uses special break-in oil so leave it as long as possible
2) Change oil at 2000 miles because of metal shavings from new engine
There's a few out there on ebay... I've seen it in Black, Silver, White & Red in both 2 & 4 doors... 1/18 and I believe 1/43 scale.. but I havent seen any United Grey Metalic 4 door versions... and they are expensive!!! $60+
I love the look of the 2 door.. but it's way too young looking for me..
I dont want to be a "wanna be", next thing you know I'll start wearing ripped jeans
and Ed Hardy t-shirts. Maybe get my ears piered and try to pickup chicks 1/2 my age.
that just a waste of a good bowl of rice!
you need to dry it out as quickly as possible,
hair dryer set on warm and low would quickly do that.
you dont want any water to sit and potiential "rust" and exposed metal.
be careful not to get it too hot..
2 door if you young, 4 door if you are young at heart.
2 door if you wear your belt above your belly, 4 door if you were it below.
2 door if dont wear socks, 4 door if you wear socks pulled above your calfs.
2 door if you're girl friend says yes, 4 door if your wife says yes.
the difference in...
Looking good.. I had planned on getting my Golf tinted today, but the place I was going to take it to was closed today. So it will have to wait until Saturday...
Ok, I dropped by my VW dealership today... Played dumb and told them my warning light has been on for a while and that the pressure is right.
1 hour later they came back and said my car was ready. There's 2 items on my invoice:
A. Check tire pressure light stays on. Check MVB 5, 6, 7, 8 all...
I've waited long enough.. going to head up to the dealership tomorrow to have them look at the warning light. I'll ask them about the TPMS in the spare.
This is strange.. I found my mileage twin earlier this week and now I found 2 Subaru Turbo owners that have switched over to TDI!!! I do miss the 2.5L boxer turbo... and the AWD... but I dont miss the 20mpg on super unleaded.
hehehe.. let me pull something else up from my arse.
IMHO: (theory) maybe the power is going in the form of heat or just into thin air as electrons is flowing through the wire.
