My 2011 TDI jetta stumbles and jerks when accelerating from stop

I've had the same problem from the beginning as well. Had a "really" close call because of this. Brought it into the "North Edmonton" stealership, they scanned it and was told that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I've lived with it from day one as well, but haven't driven it much as...

    Rear Licence Plate Screws

Hellfire, I got my car from Edmonton as well, probably from the same dealer (Northside). I'm in Kandahar at the moment and will be home early March. If you can wait until then, I'll take mine apart and pass on any info I might be able to get for you (provided they used the correct screws).

    Drivers window anti-pinch protection

I tried the "reset" as well, without success. After multiple complaints to the service advisor, they "adjusted and lubricated" the window track and this seems to have cured the problem. I was also having problems closing the sunroof. Same fix with same results. Good luck.

First Oil Change, 8000 km or 15000km?

Thanks Hellfire. At the time I rolled through 8000kms, I decided to do an oil change myself. I purchased an oil extractor pump, a VW oil filter from Norden and a gallon of Amsoil. Took me all of 30 minutes, no messin' around with drip pans and such. The extractor has a spout, and I...

First Oil Change, 8000 km or 15000km?

Oil changes.... I had contacted VW Canada about this some time ago as Norden did the same thing to me. Here's the reply I got. Well, got a reply from VW Canada...... " Dear Mr. Theriault, Thank you for contacting Volkswagen Canada Customer Care with your inquiry into Dealership...

Resetting Oil Change mileage on 2011

Extreme climate my A$$.....just look at where I work.....and maybe North of 60 as well. What we have here is "normal" climate for Canada. I FULLY intend on following the Manual's recommendations for service intervals. I'll also ask that they maintain a 15000km countdown on the MFD. And...

Resetting Oil Change mileage on 2011

Hello Hellfire, I have the same issue with this. I presume you go to the "North" VW "STEALERSHIP" in Edmonton. Yesterday, I had an argument with the Service "booking" lady there with respect to the "SERVICE / WARRANTY MANUAL" indicating 15000kms for oil changes, yet they (the stealership) sets...

The "I've got the lower mileage" thread...

My absolute worst numbers are 13,4 l./100 Km or 21.1 mpg (Imperial) at about 6000kms on the Odo. We had a cold snap in the weather, and this was around town in stop and go traffic. I had about 200kms on the tank at the time, and refulled because we were going out of town.

    Loud BUMP When Accelerating

I don't recall a service code. I don't have access to my paperwork at the moment. I went to Norden Autohaus, the Service Manager there is the one that came on the ride along. He's aware of the problem. And I'm sure if you mention my name, he'll remember. Hope this helps.

    Loud BUMP When Accelerating

Thanks.... You beat me to the reply. Post #6 in this thread tells it all.... Washers and spacers were apparently not installed at factory.

    New wind noise RVU

Hello Stump, can you check for RVU's on mine please: 3VWDL7AJ6BM016192 Canada I've had the door wind noise looked at, and adjusted back in early April. I'd also mentioned the mirror then, but nothing was done. Thanks,

    Loud BUMP When Accelerating

When I was having these problems, I had some difficulty explaining to the Service Advisor, or maybe it was more "difficulty convincing". Anyhow, I asked if the Service Manager could come out for a ride along. It didn't take long for me to convince him that there was a problem under there. I...

    How many keys

3rd key... That 3rd key is required to bypass the car's security code for the remote start system. So, hidden somewhere up inside the dash or kick panels, is a little box with that key hidden inside of it. There's a sensor that picks up the code which permits remote starting. Hope this...

    Loud BUMP When Accelerating

Had the same thing happen to me and brought it in for inspection. It was found that the sub-frame was missing some washers / spacers thus allowing it to shift during acceleration. Parts were acquired quickly, and installed under warranty. Have not heard the noise since. There was evidence of...

Are there any knownHPFP failures on 2011 Jetta

The last time he messed up, I had him re-issue the receipt with "diesel" on it. Now that he remembers me, it hasn't happened since.

    another stealership story .... ....

I really didn't shell out anything for the rental, other than a CC imprint. (pre-authorization) When the time came to pay up, I had Budget call the Service Counter and they simply provided a Purchase Order number. (upon my request to speak to the manager)

    another stealership story .... ....

Here's more from the same "stealership"..... I had my 11 Jetta in for the recall as well as a "clunking" noise from the front end. They sent me to the same Budget rent-a-box outlet (got a Nissan micro-box) where I had to produce my CC because my car wasn't being kept overnight and I had to...

Are there any knownHPFP failures on 2011 Jetta

Hi Marc, I've been filling up with Husky DieselMax since day one. (Jan 8th) I've read all the threads concerning HPFP failures and such. From what I have read, as indicated above, our Canadian diesel is very different than what is found South of the border. This being our first ever diesel...
