Passat SE I bought my replacement early because the dealer had $6,000 off MSRP on left over 2016 Passats. It's an SE with Technology and Light packages. My JSW TDI is parked awaiting the buyback, hopefully in the next few weeks.

I think both Gas and Diesel models have the same smaller tank.

I think VW had to allow room for the AdBlue tank on the 2015s. Also deleted the IRS on the GSW TDI.

Cruising range I believe the cruising range with the 1.8T Passat's 18.5 Gal tank is fairly close to the JSW TDI with its 14.5 gal tank. I haven't driven enough miles so far, but the MFD has been showing around 40 mpg on a couple of trips.

Cloth seats are cooler in hot weather for sure. I had to cover the seats in my JSW because my wife had a problem with hot seats.
