Not sure it was driving perfectly. We parked it and about an hour later it attempted to start and wouldn't. I would turn over once then die.

I would say the Fuel Valve is allowing the fuel to bleed back to the fuel tank. When you turn the key a few times this allows the fuel to be pulled back up to the fuel pump. I would continue with this practice and see if it starts better, if so probably the issue.
