Could you program the rear fog bulb to act as a brake light, only during heavy braking? I've seen BMWs do this. What is the best resource for understanding all the light channels and hierarchy?

Another data point... I pretty much forgot about this issue as it was fine over the winter, and no issues over the summer. And now, fall is back Yesterday it was ~70 degrees again, and it cranked long again for 5-7 seconds. Something weird with this temperature range.
