Last weekend I drove from Knoxville TN to Salt Lake City Utah. It was around 1800 miles and travel time was 12 hours on Saturday December 16 to get to Kansas City, 10 hours on Sunday December 17 to get to Cheyenne Wyoming, and 6 hours to get to Salt Lake City Utah. I loaded down my 2013 VW...

Just bought my second tdi last week. 40k miles 6 speed manual. My last mk4 tdi had 278k before I got rid of the car. It was a tough call but putting a new timing belt and a clutch and flywheel on a car worth 3k was just not financially worth it.

Well depends on what your looking for. If its grip and traction your looking for go with Nittos. Otherwise the tires I've used and liked are Falken's though i only get 30k out of them driving aggressively. I also live in TN so for me if you want grip and more then tire life go with Nittos...

Just crossed 225k miles on my 03 jetta TDI and still using stock clutch. I am truly wondering how long this clutch will last and if anyone can send me a link of the how to on clutch and flywheel replacement that would be most helpful.

You will smoke a lot without a tune and will not make anywhere close to the potential of your .216 injectors. Think of it this way injectors are great and give a lot of power by adding more fuel to combustion, but without enough boost aka higher psi from the turbo a lot of fuel will be wasted...

Just got back from a 4th of July trip to the beach. All told about 1400 miles in about 4 days with an average 45 mpg. Only cost about 80 dollars for the whole trip and thats why i love my TDI.

archemitis my goals for this project would be a fun fast and economical RWD car. Power wise im thinking around 170 hp and about 300 lb-ft of torque that can be done with a good tune 520 race injectors and a bigger turbo.

I wanted to see if anyone has thought about or done this kind of conversion before. I did some priliminary research and thought this conversion would be fairly straight forward. The only complication i could see that the ALH or BEW motor that i would be using for the conversion is for a front...
