New problem, I unplugged the Kenwood and reinstalled the stock radio and it won’t turn on either, not sure whats going on here. Hate to take it to the dealer but might not have another option.
I checked all the fuses in the fuse block thats inside the dash on the drivers side, all are good. Thats crazy that the phone would be causing the bluetooth issue but I will give it a try.
I didn’t know if VW was the same as my other car, if you unplug a radio in a Saab you’ll have to get it turned back on via the dealer its an anti-theft thing. What do you mean by messed up a power connection? All you do is unplug the stock radio and plug the new one, should be straight forward.
So please don’t hate on me I am still new to these cars. My car is a 15 Passat TDi SE with Navigation. The factory head unit is failing, it has trouble keeping a bluetooth connection, the music will stop playing and a shrill sound will come from the speakers and of course the Navigation is...
I am currently dealing with the same problem on the drivers side, I fed some trimmer line down the tube and it stops where the a-pillar meets the fender so I know I have a clog just trying to figure out how to clear the clog cause the trimmer line isn’t working.
Ive tried searching but a lot of these post are about the b6 Passat and not the NBS B7 Passat. Im not sure where the sunroof drain runs to, Ive been constantly soaking up the water with the carpet shampooer and now the car smells like mildew. :/
So we have had a TON of rain here in the Southeast as I am sure everyone else has and my 15’ Passat’s driver side front and rear floor is soaked. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what was the culprit for you. I am wondering if there are drains that can become clogged as this is all I can...
Kinda wondering if anyone would buy or has bought the aftermarket projector headlights that are available for half the price of the oem ones. I know the oem ones run about 1k a set.
ECSTuning is your best friend. I’ll be getting brakes from them when the time comes, slotted rotors with ebc red stuff pads and possibly the stainless braided lines, they also have engine upgrades as in a crank pulley, and air intake which I only recommend if you want that turbo noise and also...
PROBLEM FIXED! Was one of the larger fuses in the fuse box, fuse number 30. I installed new LED bulbs and they work flawlessly! Thanks to everyone that chimed in on this thread.
Yes as stated in my original post. I actually looked up the schematics for the fuse boxes and swapped out every fuse with a new one of the proper amperage for the fuse box that’s inside the car on the drivers side. I am thinking I screwed up an actual relay but not sure which one controls the...
Did you install the interior LEDs with the doors closed? I’m thinking I messed up a relay cause I was installing the LED dome bulbs while the doors were open and as soon as I touched the glove box bulb everything stopped working, my headlight switch won’t even light up.
Yes I have turned the car on a couple of times, it starts and runs fine, all other lights work except the interior ones including the mirrors, glove box, front and rear dome. I have a 15 Passat TDI SE.
So I wanted to swap out the front and rear dome lights and glove box light with W5W LED’s. I did the front dome light first and all was well, as soon as I touched the glove box light none of the interior lights would work. I put back all the stock bulbs and checked the fuses and everything is...
I bought the car from a Volkswagen Dealership in Atlanta, GA. They went above and beyond to make everything right with the car, 10/10 definitely recommend!
So I am new here, name is Jordan and I bought my 15 Passat TDI SE just at 2 months ago and I absolutely love the car, I’ve always wanted to own a turbo diesel and now I have one! It came with tons of options including heated seats, push start, bluetooth, backup camera and much more. Well just...
