    High mileage Buyback

GoFaster, thanks for your input. I'm aware of the coming Equinox and I'm certainly aware of the things that may possibly go wrong. The one big part of the equation is the fact that I have no car payment. I don't see anything available in the $9500-$11000 range that I want. The car has been...

    High mileage Buyback

I have 330,000 miles on my 2010 JSW, so I am way off the end of the mileage penalty chart. VW is willing to give me $9500 for it. Just for laughs and giggles I had a dealer tell me what he'd value it as a trade-in. He said I'd be lucky to get $2000. I consider VW's offer to be more than fair...

High mileage CR - post it up!

I'm approaching 330,000 miles on my 2010 JSW. I may hit 400k before I sell it back to VW.

    Claims Site is LIVE

tonestar, I feel I've got good use out of this car and anything I get from this point on is gravy. Besides, what's out there at this point that I can replace it with? Maybe in two years TDI's will be back on the market. I really like this car and my personality is way too optimistic to feel that...

    Claims Site is LIVE

Just checked my buyback value. $9525 for a 2010 JSW with 310,000 miles. If I keep it for two more years, continue to run the wheels off it, I can still get $9525 for a then 8 year old car with about 400,000 miles on the clock. Sweet!

High mileage CR - post it up!

Just turned 300,000 miles. Still on my original front brake pads. Rear pads only lasted 240,000 miles. Love my car. 2010 JSW 6M.

P2015 intake manifold flap fix how-to

good news, bad news The good news is that I installed the bracket from dieselgeek and the code has gone away. The bad news is that I guess I didn't crimp the end of the spring quite enough to keep it on the motor arm and subsequently dropped it down into the engine bay. Unfortunately it didn't...

How many miles are you getting on brakes and rotars

Replaced rear pads @ 220,000 miles. Rotors were ok. I'm still running the original front pads @ 235,000 miles. I guestimate about another 20,000 miles before I replace them.

    2011 JSW 180,000 miles

Just passed 210,000 on my 2010 JSW. I just replaced the original brake pads on the rear. Front pads still have some life left in them. I love this car. I'm hoping for another 200,000 miles before I put it out to pasture.

My turbo needs to be replaced

I thought I had a dead turbo. It ended up being a broken wire on the turbo actuator. It cost all of $18 to fix it.

Flashing Glow Plug Light and Limp home

I love this web site! I love this web site! I drive a 2010 JSW and the glow plug light started flashing and the check engine light came on. So I scan it, get a P0045 code, come to the TDI website and search. It ended up being a broken wire at the turbo actuator just as others have experienced...

    DPF replacement

It looks like I'll need to replace my DPF sometime in the near future. I drive a 2010 JSW with 185,000 miles on it. The re-gens are occurring nearly every time I go anywhere. My question is; how hard is it to replace? I have no intention to delete anything. I want to stay completely stock. Are...

    Are they all the same?

I've replaced the exhaust valve, which is a known problem. Also an O2 sensor. I replaced the timing belt and all the other moving parts involved with that. I fixed my a/c by replacing the solenoid on the compressor thanks to the knowledable people on this site. I recently replaced the slave...

    Are they all the same?

I own a 2010 TDI sportwagen which I bought new. I now have over 175,000 miles on it. I've done a number of repairs on it over the years and accumulated a number of special tools to work on it. Overall, I really like the car and I'm thinking of buying one for my wife. I may buy new, or may buy...
