    Timing belt condition

Well just took it appart, there is no doubt that it needs a new one. Found a bolt from the water pump between the crankcase sprocket and the oil sump. No damage that will impact the new belt luckily. Lesson learned. Bolts need the be covered in treatlocker... Thanks for the quick replies everyone

    Timing belt condition

So I put on a new timing belt on my golf 4 tdi. I saw that the belt was sittin flush with the crank pully so I tought that will level it self out. Well 40 kilometers in and it didnt started hearing noises. So my question is, is my belt still usable or should I put on a new one? Picture url
