Is there anyone can do mk4 intake manifold cleaning in south Ontario? thanks

    Chemical DPF cleaning

I've done a chemical cleaning on an '09 Jetta with a plugged DPF and EGR filter. Before, it would not start a regen, set codes for a plugged DPF. After cleaning, the car worked like new. Since then, I've done some Ford 6.4's and it works great on them as well. Biggest problem I've seen is...

09 Jetta TDI Additional Maint with Engine Removed

There's a solution you can buy to let the DPF and EGR filter soak in overnight to clean them out and reduce the soot load. Not sure where you'd get it in your neck of the woods, just found it recently from our local supplier. I did an '09 TDI about a month ago, customer says it runs like new...

LF: Alternator and a few other parts, local to Ptbo and/or Kawarthas

Hey, I'm trying to fix up my dad's 03 ALH tomorrow. I need an alternator, serpentine belt and tensioner and a fuel filter "tee". Just wondering if anyone local has these parts available? Apparently the alternator broke off the bracket and was only held by the belt and the cable. Not sure...

Cold Start Issues - 2000 Jetta

I found a thread on here that helped me with mine this week, no fuel in cold weather. I coud see there was no fuel in the clear line to the IP. Turned out to be a faulty check valve in the sending unit. Mine is an 01 and this was the first time for this problem.

Cold Weather Design Flaw, Secret Recall from VW?

This thread just saved me a pile of time and money. My '01 Jetta with 490,000km just had this issue for the first time today, sender ends in "C". A little modification and it's up and running again. Probably should have put the in-tank pump kit in... next time :)

    What deck do you have?

I went with a Kenwood single DIN, front USB input and bluetooth. Works good and the price was good, on sale. Wiring adapters I got from Crutchfield, you could probably buy your stereo there too.

What tires are you buying/have you bought?

I put on a set of wheels I just got. There's Cooper Zeon ZPT's on the front and Falken 912's on the rear. Shortly after installing, I found out that the Coopers have a LOT more grip than the Falkens... makes for fun drifting :) A couple of years ago I had General Altimax HP's and they came...

    alh nozzles

+1 for the Smog nozzles, the 0.205's are a great mild upgrade and the best value. I managed to get a set of PP520's at the right price so I couldn't turn them down. They make quite a difference over the 0.205's. I've run Smog's nozzles for a little over 250,000km without injector problems...

Not starting. Slow crank, but battery is fine

If it's high mileage, mayb the starter is just worn. Mine had trouble cranking in winter the last two years. I changed the starter this year and it's back to normal, starts great.
