The Performance Omaha dealership uses a BG DSG oil that is pink. I like most BG products but this one scared me when I got my next dsg service. My car with 164k mi has had at least one non vw gear oil service and it is now on it's 3rd Mechatronic unit. I can't substantiate it but it is possible...

You might try Schworer in Lincoln YOu might try Schworer in Lincoln, or even Performance before you give up. Just make sure that you don't have any dents or scratches in the vicinity that the dealers could claim were causing the rust due to a break in the protective seal.
