Mind if I ask for the formula or method you used to determine the mileage bracket?
Using the generic one online (that almost all websites have), I am more than okay but I want to see what others are doing to confirm.
Offer letter received, signed/uploaded, and accepted on 12/30!
Earliest time for me is Valentines week. Need to figure out what to do now. I'm concerned my mileage will go over into the next bracket if I drive it much (I put 500 miles a week on it). I could buy a new car now, but the wife nixed...
Offer letter received and submitted today.
Only concern (and it is a big one) is what mileage is that offer good for?
No where on the paperwork did it mention it, I called the Claim Helpline and the lady said that since I had put 36,000 miles on my paperwork when I first signed up (in June!!)...
I called today for an update and was told that they will be taking an additional 10 business days to review the file(s). (It takes 10 business days to confirm the file has the signature?)
I should expect to receive my offer the first week of January.
I would disagree**.
Per the calculator used all over the web, I will be getting ~$1,200 less than what I paid for the car 2 years ago (and I have over 45k miles on it).
It's like I rented the car for 2 years for only $1,200. The costs to fuel it were not bad and all but one service was paid...
My latest short term subscription ends early January so I'll be cancelling my subscription on December 30.
I gamed the system and took 5 mins to call Sirius/XM every 5 or 6 months to cancel. When the retention agent came on, I would answer their questions: "no, no, no" until they offered 5 - 6...
Had an "AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!" moment on Friday.
Documents uploaded on October 31.
Notification that documents are acceptable on November 15
Notification that I forgot to sign the financial consent form on December 16 (ARGH!!)
Corrected document uploaded on December 16.
Pissed me off that...
I believe I have a winner.
The Subaru Impreza Sport (hatchback) is a very good car. I test drove an Ice Silver with Harmon Kardon/Rear Cross Traffic Alert/Blind Spot/Moonroof.
It looks great from the outside, I really liked the interior, the sound system was damn good too.
It's a few thousand...
My two frontrunners are the '17 Civic Hatchback EX and '17 Subaru Impreza Sport.
While the styling on the Civic is polarizing, the more I see it in person the more I like it. I test drove one a couple weeks ago and was pleased with the cabin and lack of road noise (one of the many things I liked...
Hello all,
Paperwork submitted on October 31st.
Received notification that my paperwork is acceptable on November 15th.
As of December 15th, still waiting for my offer letter.
I have Hendrick VW in Charlotte as my preferred location, but will likely do the return at Flow VW in Winston-Salem.
If you're trying to negotiate the price, go to Cars.com and Edmunds.com. "Build" the car on those sites to get an idea of what price you can expect to pay or at least use them to negotiate to a lower price.
Try to get the OTD price negotiated before the car gets delivered. If you're planning...
i had my best tank last week at 46 mpg
80/20 hwy and usually cruise at 75-80 on my way to work.
It's a steady increase I hope continues through the summer as the car gets more and more broken in.
I have a $50 gift card from VW that I will put towards a sunshade and first aid kit today.
Also plan to scope out the one Mk VII they have on the lot to see what I missed out on...
Had my best tank yet. 44.8 mpg over 497 miles. Would have easily gone over 500 miles but decided to stop at my usual station.
The MID was very optimistic showing ~50.5 mpg.
I've been away on a business trip and will be returning home at the end of the week (yay!)
My question is:
The car will have been sitting in the Charlotte airport parking lot (covered) for 3 weeks, is there anything I need to be concerned about when I go to restart it?
I will roll over 5000 miles on my way home today.
I am averaging 42 mpg (fuelly.com calculated) for the life of the car. My 45 mile commute includes 41 miles of interstate where I typically cruise at around 75 mph.
We've had a cold (for NC) winter so I am hoping that as temps increase and we...
I have 3700 miles on my car and am averaging ~41 mpg so far. Can't wait till Spring to see the numbers rise a bit.
I have the same user name on Fuelly if you're interested in seeing stats
Quick question regarding diesel:
I usually choose between two stations. One has B10 and the other has a...
