Marin, thanks for saving my butt by helping me fix my corrupted cluster! The virgin EEPROM file you provided to me saved me from having to buy a whole new cluster! You were a huge help in Northern VA all the way from DFW. Thanks again and really appreciate your help!
Was able to get everything fixed - thanks to all for helping! A huge thanks to Jetta97 for the virgin EEPROM file specific to my cluster as that saved me!
Here were the steps I had to do to get it working:
1. Use VAG TACHO to send the virgin EEPROM file
Now my cluster was operating correctly...
Before I pulled out the cluster I was able to read the pin which was 0000.
I can put it back in tomorrow and try again to see what it returns.
Thanks jetta97 - email sent

Can I use VAG TACHO to write a new EEPROM file or do I need to step up to VAG-COM for that?
Need your help guys -
The other day I was using VAG TACHO to program new keys to my 2003 Jetta TDI ALH. Was successful in programming the immobilizer but then accidentally clicked on "write EEPROM". I quicly hit cancel but it was too late.... This caused my cluster to be screwed - mileage is...
