I had two TDI's that I turned in. I got a check for 350 from Bosch on friday. Waiting on another check still. Both of my cars were owned outright. Interestingly, the check did not specify a VIN number or case number, so I don't know which of my two cars this check is supposed to be for
Why bother messing with it? I recently installed a hitch on my camry and removed the muffler as part of that install, I decided to drive the car around the block minus the muffler and it wasn't much louder than stock. Your car will probably get better MPG and power with the straight...
Im done too.... Both of my cars are turned in and I have the money in the account, so I would say its officially over for me! I will probably keep coming here for a while just to see what kind of drama is going on with VW's crap way of dealing with this buyback. Its entertaining in my opinion.
turned in my 2nd car on tuesday. Got the email from Chase for the EFT on wednesday. Transfered the money on Thursday. Money was in my bank account by this morning.
Had I gotten a check, I would have been able to deposit the check tuesday evening and would have had the funds in my account...
First of all, the mini cooper I linked to, was priced in the range of where he could buy it with the 4200$ cash and not have a payment anymore. He would not have a 175$ payment on the mini cooper....
And sure any older used 4200$ car would have the possibility of having higher miles on it...
You have the timing belt coming up.... Then your also at risk of HPFP failure at any time. Same with Turbo failure. Not to mention any other of the systems and subsystems you could have issues with such as the air conditioning or heat or window motors, electrical stuff, etc....
Good question, you would think common sense would prevail and the answer would be yes. But who knows. Safer and faster to just have a notary stamp it, and then find someone who can scan all 7 pages into a PDF file and help you upload it to the portal.
If I had not been watching the forums and FB, I would not have known that on the offer form the notary needs to stamp the paper, not emboss it. Embossing would result in the offer papers not being accepted and a delay in the process. Also wouldn't have known that you need to upload and send...
Well he has a payment now Bubbagump... So if he sells the car back he will have no more payments and 4200$ cash.
Sure it may be a step down, driving a older 4200$ vehicle verses what he is driving now, but maybe not. This car looks like it would be alot of fun and probably has most of...
Don't know the answer to that question to be honest. Ive had alot of toyotas over the last 15 years and they all have a oil change reminder that comes up on the instrument cluster every 5000 miles. It did say 0w-20 weight oil on the oil fill cap on the engine. I bought 5w-20 conventional...
If you sell the car back ( buyback ) you will have 4200$ roughly in cash money, No loan, to buy a replacement.
You could shop around for a used car or truck for 4200$ price range.
You could shop around for a more expensive used car or truck and put your 4200$ and take on a payment for...
In fairness, if someone hasn't followed this forum or the dieselgate facebook page, and followed it closely.... They might not know that doing what she did would result in exactly what resulted.
It pays to be informed, and to log on here or FB at least once every few days and read up a...
The SS sedan is pretty sweet. My neighbor across the street has the older version of that car, a Pontiac G8. Im still trying to watch my gas use. That big 6.0 V-8 is thirsty.
I did the math on my last tank of gas in the camry, even with gasoline being cheaper it cost me about 6 to...
Ive posted on the forum a few times, about how I ended up buying a 2014 Camry SE four cylinder sedan to replace my 2013 Jetta TDI. I bought the car for several reasons... It is a bigger car, a year newer, over 15 thousand less miles, purchased for 13.8K which allowed me to put around 7500$...
I bought a new Mazda 5 a few years ago.... 2010 I believe.... Only kept it a year and had a hell of a time just trying to find a buyer, much less getting good money for it. I honestly don't think there is as much demand for used Mazdas as there is for other brands.
