    09 Turbo Lag?

Bump, anybody? I'm getting ready to have the timing belt done and would really like to address this at the same time. After more driving, sometimes it will lag in 1st all the way up to around 2800 rpms and then take off all of a sudden. It doesn't always wait until 2800 rpms though.

    09 Turbo Lag?

Hey guys, I've had my 09 Jetta TDI for a few days now and noticed the turbo lags pretty bad on takeoff up to around 2,000 rpms. Can you give me some recommendations for fixing this? It does it in 1st and 2nd mainly. I've searched a bit, haven't determined what I'm looking for yet. Thanks! Tom

Getting a new to me 2009

Hey guys, its been a while since I've had a TDI and just picked up a 2009 with a manual. It has about 150k miles and has never had the timing done.... I'm going to have it done asap and was wondering if there's anything else I should have done at the same time. Are there any other things that...

What Would You Pay For A 98 TDI 5spd?

It ended up selling for $2200. That being said, TDIs are a hot commodity up here and NADA books it as a classic now and the book was $3500-$5100, so for the right dealer with the right people lined out, it would be a no brainer with a little fixing. I'm looking for a wagon for myself, so this...

What Would You Pay For A 98 TDI 5spd?

Well, I had a chance to look at it today and there's a dent on the passenger rear door and trim missing on the front driver's door. I smell fuel only from inside of it, and there's a check eng. light and airbag light and it needs a battery, so I'd have to get it fairly cheap to be comfortable...

What Would You Pay For A 98 TDI 5spd?

Hey Guys, I had a 98 TDI 5spd with just 90k miles come up available where I am. Its the brighter blue color and looks immaculate. Its barebones and has manual windows. What would you guys want to buy one for? I'm not super interested in it myself, but might pick it up just to enable another TDI...

How much would you pay? 2011 Tdi sedan

Hi guys, I'm looking at a 2011 Jetta Tdi Sedan with a manual trans, alloys, and about 130k miles. It has had a timing belt and is in good shape other than a tear along a seam on the driver's seat. Its a leather interior. What would you pay for one? I'm thinking about buying it, but am not sure...

03 Jetta Sedan TDI More Power than my Golf

So I have a 2003 Jetta Sedan TDI 5spd and it has way more power than my 01 Golf TDI had. The differences are: Golf: 260K Miles, Jetta: 180K Miles Both 5spds Golf: couple oil leaks, Jetta: no oil leaks I was thinking that someone might have put some Sprint injectors into the Jetta which...

2006 Jetta TDI Auto - Looking to buy

Hey Guys, I'm looking into buying a 2006 Jetta Sedan Automatic with 241K miles. 1st, I've always told myself not to buy an automatic, but wanted to see what your guy's input is on the 2006 autos vs the older ones. I know the older ones go out very easily and I don't want to deal with a...

    Turbo/Clutch Replacement

I've got a turbo coming for my car, and wanted to know if it would be a good idea to have the new clutch done at the same time, or if it won't make any difference. I can probably milk my clutch for a while, but the turbo is leaking oil and I'm ready to replace it. Thoughts?
