There are already adapters available to work with the GM metric bellhousing and SBC bellhousing, no? One of those bellhousings (for a T5 or older 5 speed) should bolt right up to a TKX, and should be pretty easy to find.

If you can't figure it out, another alternative is to program the cluster to get the speed signal from the ABS module, and just delete the sensor altogether.

Sorry, I meant MUA5, the one used up to around 01. You mentioned MA5 in relation to a 94 Trooper, which would have been a MUA5, not MA5. The MUA5 is a completely different transmission with bellhousing integrated into the case.

Agreed, the TOB touching the pressure plate isn't necessarily concerning unless there's actually no space to move it away from the pressure plate with the slave cylinder removed. I've never seen a hydraulic clutch setup where the TOB isn't designed to contact and spin with the pressure plate...

No. You can either make a 'hybrid' 02J/02S using the bellhousing case half of a 02J, or you can use the whole 02S.

Chances are, it's just the brake pad wear sensor connector that's not connected.

Single mass flywheel? It's pretty common to get a chatter in neutral with a SMF. A heavier flywheel helps.

One thing worth mentioning, the dust shield may be different. I had an AHU dust shield on my ALH for a while, but when I switched to a DMF, the flywheel touched it. So the OP may need to modify the dust shield or use a Mk4 one.
